Summer research project

The Fantastic Four is a fictional superhero team appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Fantastic Four was the first superhero team created by writer-editor Stan Lee and artist and co-plotter Jack Kirby, who developed a collaborative approach to creating comics with this title that they would use from then on.

The first comic book under the Marvel Comics brand. This attracts a vide variety of audiences as there would be fans from when the first comic was released in the 1960’s
The Fantastic Four learn that they aren't the only super-powered beings in the universe when they square off against the powerful Silver Surfer and the planet-eating Galactus.

The fantastic four characters

• Reed Richards - Civilian Identity.

• Invisible Woman - Wife.

• Human Torch - Brother-In-Law.

• The Thing - Best Friend.

• Doctor Doom - Friend turned Enemy.

• Silver Surfer - Enemy turned Ally.

Mr Fantastic -Reed Richards is a humble genius and gifted idealist. Reed has always reached for the stars and would do anything to fund his lifelong dream of an experimental space mission — including cutting a last-ditch, no-win deal with Victor von Doom. The cosmic rays left Reed the ability to bend, stretch and expand his body in any imaginable way

The invisible women- Sue, a brilliant scientist, leads Victor Von Doom's Department of Genetic Research. She is dating Von Doom at the beginning of the film. Immediately prior to the arrival of the cosmic storm which grants her the ability to manipulate light (allowing her to disappear and generate semi-visible force fields),

The human torch-Johnny Storm is the egotistical, selfish, vain brother of Susan Storm. Like the rest of the Fantastic Four, the Human Torch gained his powers on a spacecraft bombarded by cosmic rays. He can engulf his entire body in flames, is able to fly, can absorb fire harmlessly into his own body, and can control any nearby fire by sheer force of will.

The thing-Benjamin Jacob Grimm, simply known as Ben, is a former SEAL, best friend and unofficial assistant of the scientist Reed Richards

Doctor doom-Doom also was the main villain of a film based on the Fantastic Four, Victor Von Doom is portrayed as a billionaire industrialist, an old college rival of Reed Richards and suitor of Reed's ex-girlfriend Susan. In addition to funding Richards' trip to space, he also accompanies the future Fantastic Four on the ship.

Dr. Doom, receives superpowers in the same accident that creates the Fantastic Four. Here, he is endowed with two abilities by the cosmic rays - exposure to the rays imbues him with Electric manipulation, which, similar to his technologically-derived power from the comics, allows him to project bolts of superheated energy, the only difference being that it is derived from the accident in space.

The silver surfer -the Surfer's origins are highly similar to that of his comic-book incarnation, in that he agreed to become Galactus' herald in return for the safety of his home-world, Zenn-La, and the woman he loved, Shalla-Bal. The movie incarnation differs from his comics counterpart in that instead of having innate power (the Power Cosmic), his power comes from the surfboard itself, which also serves as a beacon for Galactus.
